About the Project
Designed and built by Rex & Jessica Starkey in 2023, this impressive porch gazebo in Buffalo, Missouri, stands as a striking feature of rustic yet contemporary design. The structure extensively uses ¾” Tongue & Groove wood, providing a smooth, uniform look that is both aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound. This wooden canvas is treated with TimberPro UV Madrone stain, enriching the wood’s natural color while protecting it from the elements.
Supporting this expansive cover are robust 6” x 6” rough cut posts and beams that showcase the natural beauty and strength of the wood. The gazebo’s open design invites natural light and air, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and social gatherings. The combination of modern construction techniques with traditional materials creates a welcoming space that perfectly blends with the natural surroundings, enhancing the outdoor living experience for the Starkey family.
