About us
A testament to resilience and a commitment to supporting our community.
In 2001, our family embarked on a mission with “Repairs by Wirt,” offering a wide range of handyman services to homeowners in the picturesque Twin Lakes area. As we honed our skills and expanded our offerings, we noticed a growing demand for lawn maintenance. Thus, we integrated lawn mowing into our repertoire, quickly establishing ourselves as the go-to choice for comprehensive property care. By the late 2000s, our commitment to excellence led us to rebrand as “Lawns Plus”
In response to the seasonal slowdown, we sought innovative solutions to keep our team engaged year-round. In 2017, our decision to invest in a sawmill not only addressed this challenge but also birthed “Lawns Plus Milling,” ensuring steady employment opportunities for our staff.
As our sawmill operations flourished and diversified, it became clear that it deserved its own distinct identity. Hence, in spring 2023, “Mountain Milling Co.” emerged, embodying our dedication to quality craftsmanship, sustainable practices, and community enrichment.
Today, our family proudly oversees both “Lawns Plus” and “Mountain Milling Co.” from the same location, ensuring that every member of our team has the opportunity to grow and succeed. Over the past 20+ years we have gone from fixing leaky faucets to crafting custom wood products, all along remaining steadfast in our commitment to serving our community with integrity, passion, and unwavering dedication.

I’ve Looked at the red cedar from 2 local big box stores. MUCH more expensive. Like highway robbery more expensive. And it’s junk! The T&G I bought from these guys was so much cheaper and the product so superior. We have a beautiful closet.
